one - six persons maximum per group, multiple groups possible. Guided by locals.

This market walk was developed to help travellers understand how the local market systems work in Nepal. Within this two hour walk, you see everything from residential areas, temples, readymade wear markets, wedding markets, rock salt, chillies, vegetables, dried herbs, bead necklaces and even a market for dentures!

Definitely something that opens your eyes with something you had not noticed before!

The walk begins from one of the streets in Thamel, meanders into old Kathmandu, through residential lanes,then onto the various markets - one by one - and ends with a tea at a Stupa back close to Thamel.

A real worthwhile way to spend two hours in Kathmandu.

Day Tours | What to carry

The day tours are the ones where you have to worry the least about what to carry. However, some information is always helpful.

A light jacket or a warm jacket (depending on time of year and how cold you generally get)
An umbrella or a rain jacket. You never know.
Some money (in case a souvenir tempts you, or you want to have a drink)
A water bottle (water is available for purchase everywhere, though we do not recommend purchasing plastic bottles - garbage is a nuisance in Nepal.
Comfortable clothes - shorts are also fine of course..
Comfortable shoes - trainers are best!
